"The Naval
Achievements of Great Britain" by James Jenkins features colored prints of naval engagements
between 1793 to 1817. This collection of original prints are considered to be the most famous
series of naval prints produced. The series illustrates
the naval combat of man-of-war ships between Great Britain and foreign
countries including France, Spain, Denmark and the United States
including the naval battles of the Napoleonic War under Admiral Nelson.
The
fifty-seven rare prints were prepared in London before
1820 are finely hand colored and expertly engraved by Messrs. T. Sutherland,
Bailey and Jeakes. See

"Her Majesty's Navy"
by Charles Low is a brilliant
collection of English naval prints. It includes the great sailing vessels up
to from to the iron-clads of the late nineteenth century.
The series of fifty-five
prints also features portraits and actions of the sailors and officers of the British Royal Navy
from the 1600's to 1800's.
These early chromolithographic prints
from 1888 are well
known for their fine detail and good coloring. The prints were portrayed and illustrated by
Messrs. Mitchell,
Symons and other painters. Each
